ابدأ الآنThere were some heroes who made history, the history of EPSF-Delta. They transformed the concept of being a pharmacy student from one with limited opportunities to a professional one striving for excellence. Let us revisit their journey, which remains a legacy for future generations.
The story began in 2012 with the establishment of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Delta University.
The founders learned about the faculty’s announcement of forming a “Scientific Association” and named it Pharmaceutical Scientific Association of Delta (PSAD) before officially joining EPSF.
After understanding EPSF's activities, the team connected with Mohamed Hamid (President of EPSF-Mansoura "SAMPS" in 2012) and Amr Ahmed Bedier (EPSF PR 2012), who guided them.
In February 2012, during the General Assembly at Tanta University, the motion to join EPSF was accepted.
Founders and Co-Founders:
Founder: Asmaa Osama Hafez.
Co-Founders: Aya Adel, Marah Elgohary, Abdelrahman Shalaby, Mohamed Elgendy, Amar Hamouda.
The association’s name changed to Egyptian Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation – Delta University’s Office (EPSF-Delta).
Without prior knowledge of writing a constitution, the team initially adapted one from another association.
The constitution was rejected by Sarah Mahmoud, Secretary General of EPSF 2012, which led Ammar Hamouda (Secretary General at the time) to work on creating a unique constitution for EPSF-Delta.
After three months of effort, the constitution was approved by the Faculty’s Dean, the association's supervisor, and EPSF.
The first General Assembly of EPSF-Delta took place at the Pharmacy Syndicate in Talkha, Daqahlya, on September 27-28, 2013.
It was a professional two-day meeting featuring internal regulations, final reports, and elections that reflected maturity and responsibility.
EPSF-Delta hosted its first national event, EPSF's 33rd General Assembly, in 2013.
The event showcased Delta's organizational and professional capabilities and was recognized as one of the best-hosted assemblies.
In the early stages of EPSF-Delta, we hosted the Leader in Training (LIT) Camp for the first time, marking a milestone in our journey. The camp was designed to prepare pharmacy students for leadership roles within their associations, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to take on board positions.
"A journey of growth, achievements, and unforgettable milestones that shaped the legacy of EPSF-Delta."
Hosting the EPSF Annual Congress was one of the most remarkable achievements in EPSF-Delta’s history. This milestone demonstrated the dedication, professionalism, and organizational excellence of our association.
EPSF-Delta had always been an active participant in EPSF’s national events, and the team aspired to bring the Congress to Delta University.
The hosting required extensive preparation, collaboration, and commitment to meet the standards of such a prestigious event.
And proudly announced that EPSF-Delta would host the 20th Congress at the 14th Symposium of EPSF!
Delta University for Science and Technology hosted the Congress for the first time.
Hundreds of pharmacy students from across Egypt gathered to connect, learn, and grow together.
In 2019, EPSF-Delta faced one of its biggest challenges when our final report was rejected at the EPSF 60th Final General Assembly, hosted by EPSF-BUE. This marked a significant turning point in our history.
Despite the rejection, a group of dedicated heroes refused to give up on the association’s mission and values. This was a year of resilience and determination, driven by individuals who believed in the power of volunteerism and the legacy of EPSF-Delta.
The Beginning of the Comeback
Mohamed Yasser, a true believer in the association’s potential, took the first steps toward rebuilding it.
His journey began by speaking to Dr. Amir El-Gendy, who approached Dr. Hassan El-Kashef, the association’s supervisor at the time. Despite initial resistance, Dr. Amir successfully convinced Dr. Hassan of the team's ability to rebuild the association.
Guidance from EPSF Leadership
With approval secured, Mohamed Yasser reached out to Mr. Zein El-Abdeen (EPSF-IR Chapter 2019-2020) to understand the steps required for rejoining EPSF.
